Tigua Trek
We hike on the western cordillera of the Andes where the villages
of the Tigua region have been passed by time. Inhabited by the indigenous
descendants of the Panzaleo tribe, it is everything that you would
expect of the high Andes - small villages, vertical fields and a
friendly and easygoing lifestyle. This area is becoming famous both
for the naïf paintings that are typical of the region and also
the traditional carved animal masks.
Hike: Easy to moderate
Distance: 36 kilometers
